Overview
Bulk Send lets you create individual signing requests for multiple recipients from a single template. Perfect for:
- Onboarding batches of new employees
- Sending renewal agreements to all clients
- Distributing NDAs to conference attendees
- Collecting consent forms from participants
How to Bulk Send
1. Prepare Your Template
Create a template with signer roles (e.g., "Recipient") and any merge fields you want to personalize.
2. Prepare Your CSV
Create a CSV file with columns for each signer's details:
3. Upload & Map
- Open your template and click Bulk Send
- Upload your CSV file
- Map CSV columns to signer fields and merge fields
- Preview a sample document to verify
4. Send
Click Send All to dispatch. ZiaSign creates individual signing requests for each row in your CSV.
Tracking Bulk Sends
The Bulk Send dashboard shows:
- Batch name and date — When you sent the batch
- Progress bar — Sent / Viewed / Signed / Completed / Failed
- Individual status — Click to see each recipient's status
- Export results — Download a CSV report of all statuses
Merge Fields
Personalize documents with data from your CSV:
- Add merge fields to your template using the
{{field_name}}syntax - Map CSV columns to merge fields during the upload step
- Each recipient's document is populated with their specific data
Example: A template with "Dear {{Name}}, this agreement is between ZiaSign and {{Company}}..." automatically fills in each recipient's details.
Frequently asked questions
How many recipients can I send to at once?
Professional plans support up to 50 recipients per batch and Business plans support up to 100 per batch. Enterprise plans offer custom limits. Contact sales for higher volumes.
Can I customize the email for each recipient?
Yes. Your CSV can include custom columns that map to merge fields in the email subject and body. For example, include a 'Company Name' column to personalize each email.
